Brian E. Bennett, a partner in the firm, focuses his practice on
estate planning and administration, business and tax planning and
elder law. He was recognized in 2004 and 2005 as a Pennsylvania Superlawyer in
the area of Estate Planning and Trust Law by the publishers of Philadelphia
Magazine and Law and Politics.
Brian served as General Counsel for The Devereux Foundation
from 1980 to 1995 and as solicitor for several area educational and
charitable institutions. He has lectured frequently on estate and
retirement planning.
Brian serves on the Board of Trustees of Gettysburg College and
has served as chair of the College’s leadership gift society and
Annual Fund. He has been very active in
the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Executive Board of the
Chester County Council, BSA between 1985 and 2002, serving as its President
from 1992 to 1995. He has also served on the Area Executive Board of
the Northeast Region, BSA.
Brian has been a member of the Delaware County and Pennsylvania
Bar Associations since 1966. He is admitted to all Pennsylvania
courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District
of Pennsylvania, the U. S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Brian graduated from Haverford High School in 1959 and received a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from
Gettysburg College in 1963, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa
and President of the Student Body. He received his Doctor of
Jurisprudence from Harvard University School of Law in 1966.
